I'm not sure if it will include those who have WLS out of province.  Hopefully:))

if the the meetings will not include those who have gone out of province.i think we would still have meet and greets outside of the vic.it just would be nice if it was open to anyone pre or post op wls.i would go to both and share the info with those not going to the vic.i dont think it would be fair to exclude anyone

Many of us are not in that program as we did not qualify when it opened.  I hope that all would be welcome as It would be terrible if the group split into two.  I cant see people attending 2 differnt meetings each month.

If for some strange reason they only include the bariactrics done locally, I would bring it to their attention that almost EVERY case that wasn't done here was a referral to them first but had been rejected for various reasons (or they opened their own space by self paying) and TECHNICALLY they should be on the "waiting and/or waiting for criteria change" list.  IT IS THE LEAST THE PROGRAM COULD DO.   just sayin'

but I think we are getting worked up over nothing, they have nothing to lose by including everyone and it would show that they are willing to help everyone, even if they can't/haven't had the actual "knife to skin" here.

Hey GrannyD did you have to say the work "kinfe"???  I have 5 more day to go till my surgery and I have been trying not the think about the cutting part!  Maybe you really are Notorious???? LOL

Sorry Alle, I used to work in an operating room and it was a common term there.   People who work in hospitals get so used to the terms we forget how they affect the general public, didn't mean to freak you out ...... I'm sure they use the "touchless" approach for these types of surgery.

I'm kidding - there's no such thing except in voodoo land. (which in desparation for weight loss, I've been too - lol)

LOL Alle..I read what your wrote and thought.."whats a kinfe?"..then I went back and saw "knife..d'oh. Anyway, yes to letting all of us in to the meetings no matter where we had it done..its the least they can do for those of us who didnt want to wait FOREVER!!!

since i have been refused does that mean i cant go to these things? also you say @ the Vic is that the same as the one @ St B.?? I was refered to St B and refused. I see my Dr this Tuesday I hope he has some extra time to talk to me. sorry for not posting anymore, I'm still around reading some days thou and feeling sorry for myself.

 the meet and greets are for anyone who is apart of this site and also those who are not.we welcome anyone who is thinking of wls.it doesnt matter where you had or are going to have the surgery.we have lots of people who went out of province or country to have the surgery.please come to our M&Gs.
