I was told that I was too big for the surgery and I had to lost 21 lbs and I was able to do it - it was hard but I finally was appoved March 28 2012 and I just passed py phych exam on May 6 - I am so excited to get this process started

I was to big to qualify as well.  I was reffered to Medicine Hat.  I am now just over 1 year post op and so glad I waited.  DO NOT WAIT for your refferal.  Go as soon as possible as it takes several years to go through the process.  Better to get on the wait list and have your time start ticking.  You can make decisions about if it is right for you as you wait.
