Costco/Pre-op?

I don't live near a Costco but my husband travels to Winnipeg sometimes twice a week. If I bought a membership and I or my husband went there before my surgery, what should/could I buy?  Im wanting to try the Premier shakes, but that's all I can think of? Are their vitamins cheaper there than just Walmart that I have here? I know over the year we can buy normal groceries etc but for pre-op, any great suggestions?

just a warning but your taste buds change after surgery.what you like now might be different after surgery.if you can get to popeyes in winnipeg they offer samples for you to try and if you buy protien from them and decide you dont like it you can exchange for different flavor.try to find different samples so you can try them and find one that works for you.i dont know about the vits as i buy mine at wally world.or local pharmacy who ever has them on sale

Thanks Newfie thats great to know. If I can get all that I need at Walmart, Im okay to do that too! Im planning on ordering sample packs from online companies and having them shipped to the hotel in San Diego. That way Im not spending alot of money for something I might not like. Maybe I'll just hunt a little more for a protein drink that I like and more importantly, likes me (no splenda)

 If you go to Popeye's they will give you samples there, to try out.  I went to Walmart and to Popeye's and compared nutritional values listed on the containers.  The best Value I found was at Popeye's.  I asked the guy that worked there for a high protien, low carb shake and he had one there for me. 
The container had 30 servings and was about $40.  I can't remember the name of it but I will take a pic of it when I have a few mintues and send it to you. 

if your ordering from internet then i would suggest click protien.it is awesome.it has 15 gr protien.the best part is it coffee protien too.i order it from amazon.but if you order it from the click website and you order 1 sample they will send you a sample of both flavors

Great idea..thanks! I have 4 containers in the cupboard that are not the best for me and Im hoping my family will use them up, I certainly dont need another one in there that no one is going to drink

I wish you were coming to the meet and greet... I would bring one for you to try. I keep going back and forth on them... Like them one day and not the next. They also sell muscle milk light and a protein powder my friend loves ... she says it is the only one not to taste like a$s .... It;s the vanilla ice cream flavour of Kaizen. It's a huge tub for 44 bucks , but I just am afraid of not liking it . Especially since it is sweetened with splenda which I don't seem to like.  She says she doesn't like splenda either and likes this one. Of course she lives in Ottawa otherwise I would love a sample before trying.

Popeyes is great. I bought some kool aid like protein , I haven't tried it yet... I like the syntrax nectar so far. I seem to prefer the protein in a thin drink. I am finding the shakes tougher these days. 

I think also ( not 100% sure but if you know someone with a membership you can get them to buy you a gift card and you don;t NEED a membership. Only trouble is you can only spend up to that amount and can't refill the card ( your friend would need to ) ... Maybe find out and see if that is an option.

All such great ideas ladies, thank you. I wish I was coming too not only to try that shake but to put faces to online names. This is my only support, other than my husband and a couple of very close friends, so I need to be able to connect with others who know what Im talking about. Im going to Popeyes this weekend, we have one where I live so Ill see what they have!

I will be at the meet and greet.  You can give me the samples to bring to Madeline.  I am actually going to be meeting up with her in her home town after the meet and greet!  So I can bring the samples out with me .
