When you decide to book your surgery and go to Mexico or where ever you choose to go outside Manitoba are you calling Andrea and removing yourself from the waiting list here in manitoba ?

Absolutely not..Im not budging one inch from this line until I wake up in the recovery room in Mexico. Too many things could happen between now and the surgery date and Im not about to lose my spot prematurely.

So normally people would call Andrea after they get back then from out of town surgery ?? Or wait till called ?? Sorry I'm just trying to figure out if there might be people still on list that already have gone and had it done elsewhere and forgotten to remove themselves and there might a small hope the list is accually a little shorter due to some already completed Wls

I will wait until I am back home and sleeved before I call Andrea.

I will also be trying to claim the amount through MB Health.
and then I will be sending my invoice amount along with costs and timelines to Teresa Oswald's office.

I plan on using this as a tool not only to lose weight, but to make a difference for others.

Just a tip...if you are really serious about the fight with Manitoba Health, ask your doctor to send a request for coverage for out-of-province surgery to them BEFORE you go for surgery. They rarely, if ever, will cover anything without a patient having at least requested coverage before they go.
