Hotel selection near Smitty's?

Any recommendations for somewhere safe and not to expensive near the Smitty's on Pem. and Grand?

there is a quality inn right at that corner.i stayed there after surgery last year.tim hortons is right across street too.there also is a hoilday inn close by and they offer a medical stay rate.just ask them when you call the hotel

I called the Quality Inn first as they are the closest to the Smitty's and they also have a medical rate - It was $119 + taxes but with the medical rate it is $82.99 +tax = $97.10!!!!!!! yay!!!   i should be able to just walk over - hope it is safe area.  It also comes with continetal breakfast so that should save a little.  Now I just have to figure out how to get to a)  a mall and b) St. Boniface for my appt.

Are there any stores around this area that might have things that I need to stock up on?  like a bulk barn or Popeye's ?

It's a safe area .... It's close to lots of things .polo park is straight down grant , then route 90 ( kenaston) and straight up to Ness , turn and you are basically at a Popeyes and polo park . Bulk barn is near polo as well( right by the walmart on ellice) Another place to go would be straight down Pembina to Mcgillvray and then towards kenaston where all the big box stores are, including a popeyes and bulk barn 

And granny don't forget about hotwire..they have great rates too! (you are getting a great one though)
