Mexico Recommendations Please

I have decided that I will be going to Mexico.

I don't want to wait for surgery, only to have the possibility of gaining weight in the meantime and being denied or pushed back even further.  I can't wait, I feel like I am worth it, and it just works out right now. 

Anyways, I am looking for recommendations now. . I am leaning towards Dr Ponce de leon. 

Just looking for a bit more info.

1. do I need to get a refferal from my family dr again? 
2. will I need to get blood tests etc before I go?
3. is the process really as easy as it seems? fork over the cash and book a plane ticket?

I have started the process with Dr. Ponce de Leon.  I contacted Trish and she has sent me forms to complete and return to her.  My niece and I are both thinking of going at the same time.  I don't know what comes after the forms but there are others on here that have been to him.  I am hoping to meeting them at the M & G and hope to get the scoop there.

I had a fabulous experience with Dr Ponce and Trish... send her an email with your phone number and she will email/call you back... I posted a bunch of my pictures of the hospital INT and my shopping stuff ..

If you look at my profile I have a bit about my trip there too... My sister is going to get the surgery and guess who we will be going back to.

Trish will send you a medical questionaire that she will forward to the Dr for approval. Make sue you are appropriate for surgery etc... Then you basically book a time - I did mine 2 weeks after I decided and could have even done it a week later. You need a few days for the preop diet. and to stop certain meds like asprin and stuff. You don't need blood tests here, they will do them all there, and same with your ekg etc... IT is very easy and through once you are there. The nursing staff was amazing. I never waited more then 20 seconds when I rang the callbell. It was crazy.

Teasha.. am pretty sure I will be at the meet and greet... check out the photos I posted ... Everyone I show is amazed at how nice the hospital looked . They came into my room like 4 times a day to tidy/empty waste baskets lol...

I booked mine before I even had the questionnaire filled out but I just had a physical recently adn I knew there wasnt anythign holding me back. I wanted to get the seat sale so it was fine. I have filled it out since and sent it back.

Also, I asked Trish if I can get anything if someone else books and mentions my name she said yes..if comes off my surgery fee so if you mention my name, and if I have helped ease your mind about this Dr I would really appreciate it. PM me for my real name, okay?

Justmest, you pay when you get there. I am planning on taking a cashiers cheque. Im surprised they didnt even ask for a deposit ahead of time. I did have a crazy thought..do you tip while there like when you vacation in Mexico?? The driver that picks us up, Trish?? Never been in a situation like this before..
