Calcium question

We're supposed to take calcium citrate and not carbonate.

What if it has both - is it bad for us to consume carbonate at all?

carbonate isnt bad for us, its just that we dont absorb it. so dont count it in your total calcium needs for the day. by taking that your setting yourself up for issues, unless you take enough of the citrate. carbonate is cheaper thats why its used, but if you are using both, try to find out exactly how much citrate is in it and go by that. even if your labs show your calcium is ok, it may not be a true result, because your body will leach it from your bones 1st. so your bones could be in danger but your blood work will not reflect it. the best way to tell what shape your bones are in is a bone scan.
hope this helps, and please rethink the carbonate, imho.

I found a liquid citrate at popeyes. The taste isn't bad at all.

And do you take pill vitamins or liquid? Does anyone know if it matters?
