Well I went to see my GP yesterday and got referred so my journey has begun.  He actually said that the restrictive criteria for surgery candidates was because they were being very cautious when they started this program.  He says that the fact they are thinking about opening up the criteria means that they are feeling more comfortable with higher risk surgery patients.  I am scheduled for blood work on Friday morning so we will see how that goes!!
