Suggestions?
Ok so I saw in a post that Winnipeg's WLS program might go as high as a 50 BMI, mine is 53. So when I did the math, losing 25 pounds would get me down to the max BMI. It's like a light switch went on. I quit diet coke (and all carbonated beverages) cold turkey 10 days ago and have readjusted my eating habits to eat a 200-300 calorie meal every 3 hours. Sometimes my work schedule doesn't cooperate but I stick as close to 3 hours as I can. To lose 2 lbs per week I can have 2100 calories but often I'm 1500-1800.
My question is this: For those of you who have already been through the surgery, either recently or historically are there any meal suggestions? I'm generally eating higher protein but notice that my diet looks the same every day. lol. I'm alright with that! Just wondering if there are things that I can do now that will benefit me more in transitions to life after surgery.
