So Blue...
Don't give up..I know its depressing but switch up some food options and you may start feeling better. I have never had anything but normal blood pressure, even through all my pregnancies, however just this past winter my bp was elevated and I had to start medication! Very depressing. Makes you feel like just another punch in the stomach..We are here for you!
I had a blood sugar of 8 a few months ago. my A1C was slightly elevated too. Not enough to officially diagnose me as diabetic but I knew , give it a year and I would be full blown.
You know you are doing something about this. You will need medication but most likely the surgery will get eliminate the need for meds and your sugar will return to normal. Are you getting some diabetic education? a diabetic diet is actually a very healthy diet for anyone.

thanks rainy,
I am setting up appointments with diabetic classes, go see my GP tomorrow and am trying to deal with it.
The frustration is knowing the surgery will help it but not being able to get it. Time to get a second job and get to mexico.
be careful on the blood sugar, I felt so awful...its down to 11 as I type, not normal but enough to make me feel better

I've been in your shoes. My sugars are consistantly out of wack but that's because I am bad at taking insulin. The choices I'm making food wise these days are bringing the numbers down. It can be so frustrating when you feel like you're in a room full of medical professionals screaming HELP ME! and you know the answer, they know the answer but nobody's moving anywhere. I'm sending you love and support. Hang in there!
