I'm just wondering if anyone has or have had problems with redness, excess moisture and even cracking under their tummies, just above the pubic area??
sometimes I'm itchy, but i could always control it with gold bond powder but these last few days, it seems that I am actually cracked open, the power stings and when i have my daily shower, today the soap stung the hell out of it..
is this common for us big people?
if you have had it, how did you treat it?? what did you do to get some relief?
thanks in advance

Hi Trish
That sounds like a skin yeast infection. I used to get them under my breasts before I had breast reduction surgery. Try some over-the-counter yeast cream (ask the pharmacist if you're not sure what to buy). That will probably sting too until it clears up. To help keep it from happening again, you could try a cream called Barriere Cream. My doctor suggested that to me many years ago. It's a silicone cream that helps to keep moisture from irritating your skin. It might be hard to find, but they have it at Costco (behind the counter) and some smaller independent pharmacies. It comes in a pink and white tube. I also found it online at a pharmacy site called www.well.ca. I'm going to order some from there in a tub, much cheaper. (My hubby uses it now.)
Good luck!

barrier cream is good but on the expensive side... try this it works well..... shower like normal.... then dry completely...... then apply diaper rash OINTMENT.. the stuff like vasoline... works like a charm.. superstore, less than $5. used it till my plastic surgery last month no rash or anything...

Ask the Walmart Pharmasist about using the Walmart Brand clotrizamozole(spelling) it is like Vagasil and I used it for the heat-rash, fat rubbing on the thighs, shaffing thing that I used to get!!
Cheap and it works.
