So, I'm packing  a bag for my surgery that is now only 12 hrs away.  I can hardly beleive it's finally here as it's been a long, long wait.  I've been told I will be staying in the hospital for at least 2 nights but was wondering if anyone had any last minute tips on what exactly to expect while in the hospital.

Wow!!  It's finally your turn Heather. Congrats!   My only tip...pack lightly.  Toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush and slippers were the only things I really used when I was there.   I also took reading material and my mp3 player...but hardly had a need for either because I slept so much...but everyone is different.

I wrote about my hospital stay on my blog...feel free to read it.

Loved reading your blog post...you're a great writer!  Especially loved the part about mistaking the lab tech for a nurse! LOL  I find reading everyone's stories so helpful and reassuring.  Thanks for sharing.

Good luck to you..you must be so excited! I havent been yet but I always find hospitals dry and suggest vaseline or lypsyl. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
