Well, I had my surgery on the 6th of March..by day 2 I was walking arouind by myself, drinking water well..I had to stay till Fri, not because of the surgery, but because I had a viris I caught from someone before the surgery.

I am at home now..feeling so good. I am tolerating liquids, and some puree foods. I have no pain...and feel strong.

I am thinking I am ready to go back to work..(work in daycare with 2-5 year olds)..So I know I will need to take it abit easy.

Today I recieved a letter for my follow up for Dr Andrews, and my app't is April 25!..That seems so long away.

My question, do I need to see him before going back to work?.I have an app't with my GP tommor,

I could have him look at my stitches and see what he says.

I just feel impatient...as usual!

its great that you feel good, but please wait to go back to work.your energy will be low for awhile.take the time to let your self heal and get used to the new way of life.

I fully agree -- don't go back to work too soon!!  Working in a daycare with small children must be pretty strenuous, so you shouldn't rush to go back too soon.  Your body needs time to recover.  I assume you probably pick children up.  I was told not to lift over 10 lb for three weeks.  (I had VSG.)

I must agree with all posts, do not go back right away.  Your body is still on a high!!

Take a test, go the mall and walk around for a hour, see how you feel.  Then up the time, and try again.
