I started my optifast shakes last week (monday, march 5th) and at first the vanilla was a lil much to handle, i did add cinnamon in the begin and that made it tolerable. I would make dinner and leave the room, but the hunger finally faded around day 4. I find I sleep better at night, I am finding that i'm tired and wanting to sneak in a nap in the afternoons, I'm cold too...ughh

I weighed myself the morning I started the shakes, I was 339.5, I gained 4lbs before the pre-op diet...I read someones post that she was 6 days into a 14 day pre-op and she was down 10lbs!I thought wow, that is crazy, I knew I had lost some weight cause my wedding rings are spinning..So I thought ok, maybe 2-3lbs,max 5lbs....I got on the scale this morning and OH MY GOD!!! I have lost 11lbs since monday!!! I weighed in at 328.5!! I was so shocked I weighed myself twice and took a pic with my cell...lol I haven't even been going to the gym!!  When I was going to the gym I couldn't break past 329 and now here I am!

I can't believe it's happening...it's really happening!! For those who are still waiting at whatever point you're at...it's worth it!! I haven't even had my rny yet and It's amazing how much my life is changing already!!

Cheers!

Nicole

Wow thats fabulous!! And just think, before you know it, you will be the next lucky one to have this amazing surgery. Im so happy for you. Do you mind tellimg me why you are doing the optifast as opposed to any other choices? Is it the flavour, the price or ??
