I sent her an email in Dec. and I received 2 emails back, one just like yours and another one very simular a few weeks later but just talking a bit more about the pilot program and congratulating me on trying to achieve a healthlier lifestyle.    Thats it!  No sorry you have to wait 3 years!

Those are the kind of responses I got as well. I felt ticked that I took the time to write her about my concerns and she didn't even address one of them. At least if she had I might have felt like I didn't get a form letter....

Yep for sure.  I waited 5 years for my surgury after my refferal.  So much time wasted!  I have never felt this good in my life and so wi**** could have started earlier.

Have any of you checked to see what your province's policy on out of country surgeries are?  They are sometimes different that in province.

Although I am not in Manibota, I requested OOC surgery and it was approved.  I was approved within 6 months of  my original appointment and due to my time schedule, waited another 3 months before actually going Stateside and having it done and paid by provincial medical.  There may be some such program in your province as well...worth looking into perhaps?
