Jerusalem Hospital is in Mexico, Tijuana. Google it. I spent 10 years researching this surgury with my wife being a RN. All the info is on the internet. All the reasons to have it done or not to are in your head. I tell people that if you want the surgery to LOOK better you will fail. If you want the surgery to change your life forever, to get your health back, and are detirmined to follow the rules of this type of surgery, you will WIN.
Do I feel wonderful, you have no idea. I walk past a window and see the person looking back at me. In my head I know its me but I still can't beleive its me. I beat diabetis, gout, arthritis, sleep apnea, etc. Do you really think I'll go back to McDonalds! or eat processed food, or flour, or sugar again? Instead I go and buy the next size SMALLER pair of designer jeans.
Good luck and let me know how you do.

which Surgery did you have?

I have been looking into this, and to fly to San Diego, it would only be about $500 on a seat sale.

I don't know if I want to,  or if I can wait 2 years to see the surgeon. . from what I am gathering from the posts on the board here, if you gain any weight between your referal time and your appointment time with the surgeon, you will have to lose the weight to get your surgery..
I need this surgery because I can't loose weight on my own, or I would just do that!  2 years is a lot of time to gain a few pounds....

I had the sleeve done. My advice is don't wait another week. Call Louise and book the surgery. Tell her about me. I used MediCard to finance the surgery. You'll save 1000.00 / month just on groceries. But you MUST follow the rules to the T. No exceptions.
Good luck

Congratulations!!! You have me so convinced to try to make this work in my finances but the thought of the flight home and then a 3 hr drive from he airport is what has me thinking twice..how did you feel for the journey home?

I went through Medicard for the money. After I returned to San Degio I spent two days just WALKING around, so as not to get a blood clot. Wore my stockings as required and flew home. Then I drove 4.5 hours to get home. If your health is the issue, just do it and then work out the problems. You can spent years trying to figure out all the senarios before they happen! One of the best things to have is someone that fully supports what you are doing and makes you follow thw rules.

Good luck and keep me posted
