HI , Im new to these boards . well sorta i have been ready posts last few days , im so glad my GP told me about them . Im very excited I just recieved my " you meet the current selection criteria " letter this week and well not sure what happens next . Can anyone enlighten me as to what to expect and time frame on the process .

as for the next step.
you will meet with the surgon and then they will give you the requirements but the typical requirements are
1 pych evauation
2 meeting with dietian
3group meeting
any of these people can disquailify you
2 weeks before surgery you will be put on the opifast diet

Hi, I'm new here also, a male in late 30's. My GP sent St Boniface a letter and they replied that I didn't met the criteria for the Bariatric surgery . They only accept women. Why is that? I've read in this forum that Maples Surgical Centre only accept out of pocket payment, but the post was dated last year, any news if the MB Health already approve payment for private clinics? Many Thanks!
