Not Today

My surgery was cancelled today-Dr Vergis called me at 5am-said they will try to get me in later this week.  His wife is having a baby  and that trumps my surgery.  He said I could eat but no carbs.  I am scared to eat.  I have 4 optifast left and am wondering how to eat around them so I stay in ketosis. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear surgery was cancelled, I know you were really looking forward to it.

Try your meal replacements like Glucerin or Boost.  You may want to phone Andrea just to verify that.
I know when I got my surgery date and didn't have my Optifast, yet, that is what I was told to drin****il it arrived.

Oh, I'm so sorry! You must be terribly disappointed. I just saw Dr. Vergis on Thursday and I asked about when his wife was due...he said not until later Feb...so she must have gone into labour early!!
I have a TON of premier shakes from Costco that I no longer want. I have an entire case. I'll see them to you for cheap if you want.

What a bummer as I'm sure you were very anxious and excited.  I am sending positive thoughts your way that you get your surgery this week. 

If you need I have a bunch of the Meditrim at home that I probably won't use.  Haven't been able to tolerate them after surgery.  Let me know i can arrange to get them to you.

 Thanks everyone for your support-Laura just called with a meal plan for me for the next few days/week which has helped me immensely.  Dr Vergis asked her to call-he is still trying to get me in this week otherwise will be next Monday.Thanks again and have a great day.

omg...you poor thing.  What a terrible phone call to receive.  I wonder if and how many others received the same call.  That bubble filled with anticipation, only to have it burst.   Stay positive, everything happens for a reason, and the surgery will be here sooner than you know it.
