Advice needed
Hi,
Can anyone help me out?
I am a little over 2 weeks from my Gastric Bypass and I am having difficulty going from Phase I liquids to Phase II Pureed food. It feels like my system isn't handling it. I am not worried so much as it is only 2 weeks, but can anyone give me advice on how to handle to transition.
I would really appreciate any help on this.
Thanks.

Agree with the "Sunchip Queen",
Maybe try your liquids a little thicker.
Can you eat jello, try it and see how that feels.
Then Greek Yougurt,
Perhaps a cream soup with your protein power added to it,
I had success with Tuna and mayo!!(It did take almost a hour to eat a can!!)

I agree with everyone's advice, take it slow and add thicker textures as you are able. At 2 weeks I think I was eating cottage cheese, yogurts, creams soups, jello. I also added unflavored protein powder to anything that it would mix into to ensure I would get my protein. At this stage I had difficulty getting in enough fluids and even now have to remind myself to drink more. You're doing great and as you go on it will get easier!

My only advice is to trust your own instincts. Your body will let you know what it is ready for. Remember, the nutritionist's suggestions are only guidelines. Your body is the best judge of what you can have. I like the idea above about staying on the Phase 1 diet and then every other day trying something from the Phase 2 diet. I know that it seems like you will be on liquids forever, but you won't. A month from now you will be able to eat most foods, just in very small amounts.
