I am OBSESSED

 I am OBSESSED with the thought of this upcoming surgery.  Not getting a response letter is driving me INSANE!! it's only been since Dec 12th that I went to my dr for a referal. I need something else to think about! haha

I think about it all the time.  I cannot get it out of my mind, I research on hundreds of sites and check in here at least 20 times a day! 
I think this is going to be a VERY long year!! hahaha...

Anyhow.. I want to wish everyone here a Happy New Year!!!!

I did the same thing, time goes slow at first, then it speeds by and your done.

I was EXACTLY like you in the spring, checking, checking, checking research till all hours of the morning..... it will fade a little.  Right now I am resigned to just let my timeline take care of itself.  I can't even speculate anymore on when it will be........ it is very discouraging ...... but still we wait.... lol   :)

i hear ya! lol, i now own a small library on wls. cookbooks, life after surgery books, workbooks, the daily meditations book from O.A., books on all issues of wls, calorie counters, and food journals.i have watched hundreds of you tube videos following different girls who have had wls, and of course i check my oh everyday! i had to force my self to read a book for leisure the other day that was not wls related, i used to read 3-4 books a week, and i miss it. but i am obessed!!!!! it consumes all i do and think. i was the same way when i was pregnant though, so i guess its understandable, its life changing so of course we want to learn everything we can about it.

 I believe you'll find many here are going through the same. I'm waiting for that call to tell when my appointments at the pre-admission clinic are and I'm driving myself crazzzy hahaha. 

I totally know what you're going through!!!  My referral went in Dec 16th!  I'm doing the same thing!

I know it's incredibly hard to see now, but it seems like YESTERDAY that I had my referral and here I am already almost 5 months post-op. 
It flies by SOOO fast & then life changes, and you can't go back.
I would NEVER go back - expcept for maybe 5 minutes to eat one more Big Mac, bowl of Mac n Cheese, Venit Starbucks Frapp and a BIG piece of cheesecake. :) :)

But really truly - time flies and before you know it you will be on the losers bench with all of us cheering you on. :) :)

Exactly how long are we looking at for timelines, does anyone know?
My referral went in to the St. Boniface surgical Centre on December 1. Still haven't heard about an appointment, although I was paranoid enough to call and the referral is there!
I fit the program criteria and am anxious to begin my new life!
any advice about what to do in the meantime?

 I waited just over a year from referral until I got my surgery date (which is next Monday).  I was referred dec12/10 and got a letter saying I fit the criteria in feb/11. I saw Dr Vergis aug 17, the psychologist in sept, then the NUT and internal med mid nov.  The time flies by.
