Hi there,
So I found this site yesterday after my GP advised me to check it out.  I have struggled with my weight for over 10 years now and for the last couple of years contemplated surgery as a way of reaching my weight loss goal.  I have over 100 lbs to loose, along with medical issues I would like resolved caused by my weight gain.  My BP is through the roof 180/110(dr put me back on meds for it yesterday).  I also am experiencing fertility issues.  I have one child, but want more and have had to experience 3 miscarriages over the last 3 years.  I have been trying to get pregnant for the last 6 months....but nothing. 
Today I'm feeling so down, almost like I'm grieving.  I had it in my head that I would have another baby in the next year, and now having this surgery is putting it back 2-3 years.  I had this plan of having kids a few years apart as my ideal family situation.   
Can anyone who has had either the RNY or the sleeve and conceived successfully post-op let me know their experince?

Hi Linz and welcome!  check out this site http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/vsg/ .  There are a few women who have had babies post VSG very successfully.  I haven't checked out the RNY site (the main one) so I am not sure about post WLS babies but I think it would be similar)

I actually know a woman who had RNY and within a year was pregnant, with twins. 
They were nearly full term and very healthy girls! 

I wish you luck in your efforts to conceive!
