Would like to say "Hello"
Hello Everyone, I am new to the Forum and I am waiting for my surgery date for the Gastric Bypass surgery or should I say I am patiently waiting for my date. Next week I will be seeing the Dietician and not sure what happens after that. All this is an amazing journey so far. Not sure what else to say, this is all new to me.

where are you having your surgery done? whos your dr.?
i'm sure someone on here will be able to tell you more. a good place to look for peoples stories are to check out their blogs, not everyone writes one, but you can get a sense of a time line from some of those.
hope you are able to find your answers here, i sure do

Hi Wanda...
I think we're pretty close in where we stand in our journey towards surgery. I saw Laura the nutritionist last Thursday and this coming Thursday I see the psychologist. My consult with Dr. Vergis was in September. After I see the psychologist I think I'm pretty much done with appointments/ tests and then it's just a matter of waiting for a surgery date. I sure hope it's sooner than later.

Hi Wanda
I'm relatively new here too and haven't posted anything for a couple of weeks, but I've been reading what everyone else is chatting about!
I thought I'd drop by & say hi. I'm planning on going to Mexico for the vertical sleeve gastrectomy. I'm aiming for Feb 6. Had hoped for mid-January, but my sister-in-law is coming with me and she has work commitments and can't go then.
When I started making my plans in the late fall, I didn't even know this surgery was being offered in Winnipeg now. I found out when I discovered this forum only three or four weeks ago. I really don't want to wait the 18 months I've found out it would take to have it done in Winnipeg.
Good luck with your upcoming appointments and I wish you (and everyone else who hasn't had their surgery yet) luck in getting a date fairly soon.
One day I will get brave enough to go to a "meet & greet", but I've started working (medical transcription) at home evenings & weekends for extra money (gotta pay off the loan I will have for my surgery!) so I'm kind of tied to my computer.
