Deep tissue massage pre op
VSG on 10/16/12
Okay, I have been reading up on how this releases toxins stored in the body and I was wondering if this might be something beneficial. I am trying to get into the "healthiest" preop condition possible so I can cruise through my appts and hopefully get a date without any snags.
Does anybody have any experience with this? thoughts?

I would like to start doing this presurgery but I am now thinking I won't be able to afford it. I spoke to Andrea (or Julie?) and I propably won't be able to "cluster" my visits so I will have an additional $300 expense (gas/food/hotel) for every NUT/psych/surgeon visit plus thier actual expenses, so I'm thinking this idea will be the first thing trimmed from the budget....... boo. :(

I get regular massages . I love them and they are worth it to me. Granted they are mostly covered with my benefits at work. I doubt they are really that helpful though for overall health though and I doubt they would help in getting through the pre op stuff any faster. I get them for muscle soreness mostly.

Oh I know nothing will get you through pre op faster, I hope I didn't sound like I was trying to scam my way through preop! I only was wondering if it would be good for a person's body to have less toxins for when they are recovering, maybe helping with energy levels, etc.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. I love waiting....... lol

Oh I didn't mean to suggest that ! Just think in terms of money , time etc I suspect it isn't worth worrying about . I love massage but it is something I could give up easily if I had to . I think of them as relaxing and helpful in getting the kinks out but I am doubtful about the whole release of toxins part .... I'm a skeptic lol .... Much better off spending time getting more into shape and eating healthier ( ha! Easier said than done!)
