So tired... (question for post ops)

This is my first week back to work full time and I can barely make it through the day.  The minute I make it home I end up having a nap for several hours.  My job is a desk job so it's not exactly physically taxing - but still I'm so tired!

Has anyone else experienced this?  When did it pass?  I'm finding it's messing with my exercise routine so I hope it's just a blip on the radar...

Thanks!

I was told by surgeon that it takes 8 full weeks for healing process. That any energy is used for healing at this time.
After 8 weeks or so the body will have some extra energy again.
As well you body is getting used to a lower calorie intake.

Listen to your body, if it needs rest, let it rest.

Some people are more tired after surgery than others. It will get better!

I couldn't believe how exhausted I was after surgery.
Especially when comparing myself to some people on these forums!
Surgeons words helped and made sense to me.

I WAS DOG TIRED FOR 6 WEEKS!...LOL and I had a toddler at home who took 2-3hr naps with me..slept the whole night every night and yes, still tired. It will pass, just take your cues from your body and listen. This part of healing was all about learning to listen to my body. I had been shutting it up with food for years. LOL Just keep up with the fluids and protein and rest. You will feel normal soon and look back and wonder if you ever even felt THAT tired.  It's amazing how much energy we actually need just to run our bodies, nevermind making it DO other stuff. Like work, exercise etc.

Just go easy on yourself

Sometimes if your body doesn't have enough vit B12 it can make you tired.
