Daily Eating...

I moved to Saskatchewan right after my surgery, and I haven't seen the dietician since WAYYY before my surgery - so I'm at a loss of knowing if i'm on track right now.

Would some of you who had surgery 6 months or more ago be able to tell me kind of what your food schedule is like?

Most days I am worrying that I am eating TOO much but the people around me all think I am starving myself.  so I need some WLS friends opinions instead of people who don't really know this lifestyle.

And can I be honest & gross for a minute?

I am having very regular bowel movements  - which I'm happy about, but the amount that comes out of me makes me worry that I am eating too much!!!  Shouldn't I have less BM's then before my surgery?  TMI????

I think I am making good choices when it comes to eating - and I KNOW i need to get more liquids in, but I just worry that my amounts are too big and that I am be abusing my sleeve. :(

HELP??? :) :)

Hi there.  How much are you eating each meal?  How much dense protein can you tolerate/meal?  How much fluid/water are you getting in?  How is your weight loss been?  Everyone is different, so don't compare yourself too much, or you may set yourself up for dissappointment.
I think you are doing just find, but we all need some reassurance from time to time.
XOXO

It looks like you are doing great. I know how you feel though because even at 2 months out sometimes I feel like I'm able to eat way too much. For the most part I make good food choices but I've also had a few not so good ones. (darn candy kisses)

Hey Tuckergirl!  I am not sure if you ever go to the main VSG forum site but there is a lady who posts there EVERYDAY asking the same question "What are you eating today VSGers?" and she lists her food choices (and she is brutally honest with herself and us)  Lots of people respond so reading some of those answers might give you an idea of what "normal/average" is.

Her name is Ms. Snell.   Also a dude named Frisco is always putting up interesting (and yummy sounding) recipes geared for VSGers.  It's worth a look.........

PS - not sure about the BM situation but when I used to go on hardcore diets I could not believe how much more went out then in.   I guess the body uses what it needs for fuel and the output is the same, doesn't matter how much input there is...... I guess ...... I dunno ......
