Sooo hungry...
I started back to work last Wednesday and now I find that I am eating so much more. I find my appetite has really increased. I am usually ok while at work. I take meat, cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, veggies and fruit and it doesn't take much to fill me but then I eat again 2 hours later. The biggest problem is when I come home and I want food. I eat my protein first followed by my veggies but then I want fruit. I love fruit and I was a fruitaholic before surgery. I find that I don't stay full very long. I also still struggle to get in enough water every day. Being back at work has helped somewhat because running around the school makes me very thirsty and it's quite dry in there. I'm so scared to mess up and as it is I'm losing so slowly.
I did however just buy the food journal newfie bought at Chapters. I think if I log more often and preplan every day in advance it may help.

Are you hungry? Or is it habit? I have found this myself this past while. I'm now 8 mths out and so so have to keep focused on the grazing habit from before. That's what I used to do was graze all the time. If my stomach isn't growling then I don't eat..Retraining our brain is tough, but can be done. Sometimes too we mistake hunger and thirst. Make a habit of carrying water with you all of the time. Try the water before the food in between your meals for a day or two and see if that helps. Good luck! It's a learning process everyday.
