..And it went well!

I am the reserved type, so I kept self quiet here, but quielty was reading everyones success, thrills, questions..and bonding together here. It always made me so happy to hear of others achievemnt, but I dare not get too excited for myself, just in case the Dr felt I was not one who would be having surgery.

So I was the on friday, and he said althought I am on the lower end f the bmi, becasue I have high bloodpressure I would be a canadiate. He also said he is betting that in 5 years I would gain more weight also. Then it would cause more problems for me, as I am 50 now.

He told me he would be confident in me deciding which surgery I would like and I am to go back in Nov with my descion.I have read loads on each, but I am going to reread, and go thru the forums for a final decsion. He did tell me I would be ideal for the sleeve, but he could'nt tell me to have it.

Can anyome tell me about if the had the sleeve, if they ar happy?..any problems inwhich you wish u had a differnt surgery?

That's wonderful news, I'm very happy for you.
I had the sleeve 4 mths ago, I am extremely happy with my decision. It is exactly how I thought it would feel. I have great restriction, never thrown up, can eat pretty much anything, but I choose not to eat bread, rice ,or pasta at this stage.
I take one Centrum a day, and my thyroid med. And that's it. No acid reflux.
This form has really helped, I knew what to expect, so when the scale did not move for 3 weeks I new it was "normal". I have had that happen twice. I am down a average of 2 pounds a week which is perfect according to the doctor and dietician .
I am very happy with my Sleeve.

Hi there, congratulations on your decision to have WLS.  When I was researching the procedures, I was interested in the VSG.  I have never considered any other procedure.  I have lost 100 + lbs in 7 months and will never look back.  I am so happy with my sleeve.  Good luck with your decision.

I got the RNY and love it. I wish that I had greater restrictions on what I can eat but no regretes.

A dream come true!
