Bandages

I was never told whether or not I should remove my bandages. Does the doctor remove them at the follow-up or should I be taking them off? They are still firmly in place and I don't see them coming off on their own anytime soon.

I was told to leave them until they fell off . However when i went to see surgeon 2.5 weeks post op, she pulled them off.

Mine came off one by one, all off by day 9, I took the last one off.
Then started putting vitamin E oil on 2x a day.

Thank-you! I am at day 14 and won't see Dr. Vergis until Oct 4th at 4 weeks out. I think maybe I'll be taking them off by then. They are still stuck on pretty good. I'd like to start with the Vit E oil as soon as I can too!

ya, i think i left mine on for at least 2 weeks - until they really started falling off.
I pulled one off too early and had to put new ones on cause my cut opened up.

Can't believe it's been 2 weeks for you already!! :) :)

I took the bandages off after my shower yesterday but left the steri strips on. I'll let those fall off on their own.

I'm at day 13 today the previous was a typo.   It is still hard to believe that so much time is past. It felt like a lifetime just to get the date and time sure is flying now!
