Iron suppliments in WInnipeg

As you'll notice, I'm not a poster - I'm a lurker :D I've learned so much from you all over the past months. I'm extremely private, so I like to sit in the back corner and not be noticed.
I had my surgery in November 2010. So far, I'm doing fine. Had a rocky first few months but things are looking up.

Question about iron. What kind and where do you get your iron?
I've read on the main surgery forums about heme iron (proferrin) but it seems that Costco in Wpg doesn't have it (or so I've been told). Finally after contacting 4 different Shoppers Drug Marts I found 1 that will bring some in.

I take PPI's so I've now found that apparently the ferrous gluc...that I've been taking is wrong, I need to take carbonyl or heme (Proferrin).
Out of curiousit, what are you all taking?

BTW - Protein powder - Popeyes suppliments sells the BEST stuff. So many different flavours and it mixes so great!! Love the chocolate mint in my hot chocolate. Can not tell that there is protein powder in it. Unflavoured powder in my oatmeal in the morning - Great!

Not sure about the iron , I can't find much for options here, may have to order online?

As for Popeyes, I agree, I haven't tried the chocolate mint yet but I am sure I will, the peanut butter chocolate isoflex is awesome as well. And you can't go wrong with Popeye Bucks!

I also really like the Banana Berry Burst from GNC , it's quite tasty as well.
