I Can't Believe it's MY Turn.....

So for the past several months, I've been following all the rest of y'all on this forum anxiously hoping it will be my turn someday.  I was referred by my doctor in January 2011 and I just received notice of my first appointment with the surgeon for September 9th.  I've already had my blood work done and now await the big day!! 

It's a bit surreal that this is actually happening.  I'm so excited!! 

Wow that was not long at all, glad to see the wait isn't to long, yet.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I remember getting that call and jumping up and down in my kitchen for joy!!! 
That's fantastic! Sept 9th is NEXT WEEK!! Wow!
Hopefully it'll go by quickly for you, now that summer is over and everyone is hopefully done their holidays.
Keep us posted with how your consult goes. Book your preop with your doctor so that'll be out of the way...then just the psych assessment and the nutricianist appt! 

Whoohooo!!!!  The anticipation was killing me so I broke down and gave Andrea a call this morning.  She said she mailed my letter yesterday and I too have an appointment on September 9th!!    

I'm so happy!!!!

If my BMI waswithin the criteria I would be right about the same time. My original referral was January 2011. Hoping to hear from Regina soon. Waiting time is about 18 months there as well.

It's a great feeling to finally get your appointment and nice that it's less then two week away.  Before long it will all become reality and we will be on the on the "losers" bench as well.
