Feel Kinda Silly...

I feel kinda silly asking this question, because I know people who have had the surgery can get annoyed when people who have JUST had the surgery ask questions about diet and such because we SHOULD HAVE known all this before hand...

BUT I doubt I'm alone in the fact that I felt 1/2 hr with the dietician did NOT leave me educated enough for life after surgery...and so I come to all of you!! :)

I'm NOT super worried that I am at a stall only 2 weeks out of surgery.
BUT I do feel more bloated already & after losing lbs & lbs, when you don't lose, you notice.
I haven't lost any weight in 3 days now.

I'm guessing it's maybe because I'm not getting enough protein shakes and probably not intaking enough water?  I started eating a little bit of food - like maybe 1/2 cup a day besides jello & applesauce.  Should I not be doing that yet?

I just don't want to to BACKWARDS instead of forwards right after surgery, and I really want to make sure that I'm losing how I should be.

Thank you for your patience with this newbie!!!!! :)

I had a 3week stall at 2 weeks out, I know it is going to happen again so I only weigh myself once a week. Your body is adjusting .
Just keep drinking lots of water and get the protein.
good luck

yup, dont sweat it girl. I am on the same page as shann on this one. I had a 4 wk stall 2 wks out. for me, the weight comes off in spurts.. i will have a wk of almost a pound a day, and then a couple of wks when the scale barely moves. I know exactly how you are feeling, and how frustrating it can be.I have come to the conclusion that no matter how fast the scale moves, it aint quick enough for this gal. Anyway, it definitely will come off. Dont worry about a thing. Have a good day, and take good care of yourself

2 week stalls are normal!  It is okay to ask questions.  Annoyed people can choose not to reply.

Congratulations on your surgery!!  Best wishes!!!

I went through the same thing.  That is the point I stopped weighing my self.  I was getting crazy obsessive with the scale. I didn;t weigh myself for about 2-3 months.  When my clothes were literally falling off then I got back on the scales, albeit very infrequently.  Don't be hard on yourself. Your body is going through major changes and it takes a few months to work out.  You will just have to trust us on this one.

Mostly everyone stalls out at about 2-3 weeks. It is normal.
