I had my appt with Laura today...it went really well! She is really easy to talk to and I felt very comfortable talking to her.
I was pretty happy with the goal weight that she recommended. Like she says, it's just a number...what matters is that I'll be healthy!
So I just need to wait for a surgery date. Everything else is DONE!!!  Andrea is on holidays and won't be bac****il Tuesday...hopefully I'll hear sometime next week!
I'm so glad that's done...that was my last thing to check off my list. She answered all of my questions before I even asked them.

Please cross your fingers that I'll get a surgery date really soon!! The waiting is driving me bananas! I'm really hoping for late Sept. I'll keep you posted.

YEAH! I was thinking about you today. This morning when i realized it was the 17th I knew it was an important day! took me a few minutes to realize why it was...it was your apt!
Glad the last of the hurdles are done for you!

It will come fast- that is a promise! I really cannot believe how long i have been waiting and how fast it has come.

Darn it, I would give her till Wed. then give her a call.
I know at your stage you just want that DATE! Lol

Congrats on completing your 'check list'.  The surgery will be here before you know it.  Do you mind me asking when you were first referred?  I want to get a feel for how long the wait list is. 

I was referred last November and had my consult in May or June. I was able to get my preop physical and appt with Dr. Grosko (phychologist) pretty quickly but Laura, the nutricianist, usually books a couple months in advance. Hopefully they will train another nutricianist so the load won't fall on just her.
I think the wait for a consult is 8-10 months and about 11-12 months for the surgery.

I've been thinking about you and waiting to hear how everything went with Laura. I'm so happy that everything went well. Did she mention anything about the MediTrim name? It is so true that after you get your date time will fly. I can hardly believe I will be going for my surgery in 2 1/2 weeks.
