Home Sweet Home.

Hi friends!

i am home! very excited to be home!
though they took good care of me at the Vic!
best nurses EVER!

i posted a video yesterday - you can see it here:  http://www.youtube.com/user/16tuckergirl

things are going ok. i'm in a bit of pain.
i can't keep T3's down so i'm on kids tylonel which is SOOO gross!
how do kids eat this stuff!!

right before surgery, Dr. hardy told me that VSG tends to have a lot more nausea then the bi-pass and i can tell you that is true. there was a lady beside me that had bi-pass and didn't have any nausea where as i was on gravol for 24 hours straight and still throwing up. not fun but it does pass. but i have chosen not to go on T3's because they have to disolve them into liquid and it's just unbearable.

the ride home was tough - i echo everyone's BRING A PILLOW.
but my bed is nice and comfy and i'm looking forward to a nap. :)

overall, i think it went well. i was going to the washroom right away and peeing enough to make the nurses happy. :)

the gas is not fun. i'm dealing witht hat still today.
would love to get more out, but i know that will come.

my video probably explains a little more.
though excuse my lack of makeup & non-showered look.

the one thing i was NOT expecting was the
OH MY WORD THERE IS NO GOING BACK NOW.

i had a hard time with that.
not because i regret it, but because reality was sinking in.
i wil never be able to go back to the way it used to be,
i can't go back to my "comfortable".  this is the new me, and there was no choice about it anymore. but like i told my sister, in 3 years, i won't remember what it used to be like, this WILL be my normal. it's just a little overwhelming right now.

i will update more this week.
just wanted to say a big THANKS for your love & prayers.
thought of you guys so much while i was in there.

xoxo

Glad to hear you are home and recovering! God Bless! :)

I'm 4 weeks from surgery and reality is setting in here already. I also know I've come too far to turn back. I'm looking forward to being a new and improved "me".
