Criteria for surgery/program

I should be embarrassed to ask this, after having the surgery 6mths ago!!!! But... What is the exact criteria for VSG? I am telling people about the surgery but I don't know the exact BMI range and all the other criteria. Ha... I tried to find a website but couldn't find one. Thanks.

VSG on 02/21/12

Unless there have been any changes in the last few months, this was the original criteria here in Manitoba.

Patients must meet the following criteria:

1. Female
2. Age under 55
3. BMI under 47
4. Miminal comorbidities

Minimum MBI is 35 too!! They want us fat too!

Stats: HW 311 lbs in Aug 2010, VSG on 10/19/2010, Surgeons goal 208lbs, My Goal 175lbs or less Current 193lbs
