Can't believe I am on day 11 already!!

Wow. This diet in itself has been a journey.
And NOT always an easy one!!

I am very sick of the shakes already - haha...
but the ONLY way I have cheated at all, is that I gave in & had some salad dressing.
i still can't believe I didn't give in and have chicken, or bread or cheese.
I want those things SOOO badly.
But I haven't!! :)

I am also sick of ALL veggies. I can barely eat anything but beans & mushrooms now.
The thought of a tossed salad just grosses me out.

I can't WAIT for a taste of meat or bread or cheese. :)

It was really tough this last week.
And the drive home was KILLER when my family was eating McDonalds or Arby's or treats from the gas station.  ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!  but i didn't give in!!!

I know to so many of you - it feels the "the day" will NEVER come.
That HAS been me. but the day is now 3 days away!!!

I got the call this morning.
I need to be at the hospital at 8:45 a.m. and surgery will be around 10:45.

I am curious how long most of you stayed in the hospital?
Should I count on 3 days? or mostly only 2?

I'll try to update as soon as I can after surgery.
Keep checking my YouTube channel cause I'll post vids there as soon as I have internet access after surgery.  I know the VIc doesn't have it, but as soon as I get home I will post it.

I use Sparkpeople to track my food etc and they have a gastric bypass forum. One of the leaders goes to alot of Obseity Help seminars and she has been recomending a book that is one of those Books for Dummies related to WLS. Sorry can't remember the exact name but I'm sure if you google a list of the dummies books it would be there.

Congrats on making it this far. Your surgery day will be here before you know it. I start my pre-op diet on August 23rd and I am worried that it will be difficult. I've bought sugarfree/calorie free flavored syrups and a snow cone maker. Hopefully I can trick my stomach into thinking that it's real food. :) Good luck on your surgery!

I've also seen Newifie's book. It is absolutely perfect! I am hoping to be able to go get one for myself! :)

My stay was 3 days,  two nights - they released me early on the morning of the third day.  The doctors did say that some people were being released after only one night if they were doing well enough.

Good luck!
