Talk to the pharmacist or the dentist if you can take the pill in doses 1/2 hour apart.  I had the same problem and had to have a medication taken this way.  Our little stomachs cannot handle the large dose all at once.

Did you mention to your dentist that you had RNY surgery.  You might also ask if the childrens dose could be given only longer.

Some good probiotics- open up the capsule and put it in low fat probiotic yogurt (bought " eating well PLAIN yogurt" bought at safeway). My naturopath suggested that when i had thrush  (in mouth from steroid inhaler). whenever my son was on antibiotics when he was young she suggested probiotics.

Don't know if it will help- but may not hurt.
Don't buy too high of a dose re: probiotic to start- can have a laxitive effect (rare).

Should call Andrea to see if she has any suggestions as well. Maybe this is common. If she doesn't know she can ask NUT or docs for you and get back to you.

Good luck!
