Snacking.

Does anybody else have a problem with this?

My eating is on track at mealtimes. However, when I get home from work or on weekends, I just feel like grazing all of the time. I know that it isn't good for me, but I don't seem to have a lot of control. My weight loss has slowed now as I am approaching the 8th month point. Unfortunatley, the slow weight loss decreases my motivation. It feels like the closer I get to my goal, the farther away it gets.

How do others keep going at this point in the game?

I am about 4.5 months out and I still need to graze as much as possible.  I am not getting in enough meals/snacks still.  I find it really hard to motivate myself to eat enough.  Today I have had cheese and peanuts and I am so not hungry.  I thought this not eating thing would be great but now it is kind of annoying that I dont eat.  I see food and think ewww gross!

I find that some days I graze. I find it hard to always stick to the "rules". I just make sure that if I am goingto snack that I am eating protein foods. Beef jerky is one of my favourites. I wish they could "fix" our brains with surgery too.

A dream come true!

Sometimes I think I am hungry and I am really just thirsty, so I have a drink of crystal light.  Then since I have to wait half an hour to eat I usually forget about snacking.  I still have a protein shake for breakfast, some greek yougurt for my morning snack, a shake or chicken brest for lunch and chicken or turkey for supper.  I sometimes eat fish or any other lean meat for supper.  After I have eaten my protein I dont usually have much room left for veggies.  In the evening I will sometimes have yougurt or a small fruit.

Thanks everyone.
Michelle - having beef jerky around is a very good idea! It is fun food, yet it is solid protein. I just find that I need something in the house that I can grab quickly as I walk in the door, otherwise I go in search of carbs.
