Makes my blood boil

I made the mistake of reading the comments.  Jeepers, people are so fricken ignorant!  I posted a comment too!

Many of those comments tell me that's why there is such a long wait for WLS- because people don't get it. If it was as easy as not drinking juice and having willpower then there would be no obese people - right?

I think thin people passing judgement on this lady would be like us fluffy people judging people who can't gain weight.

My heart goes out to all of us in this situation and hope we all get the help we need sooner rather than later.

oh i know how you feel,when i read this this morning i was sooo mad.yes we decided to have this life altering surgery on a whim.grrrrr idiots

OMG!! My blood is boiling too!! Such narrow-minded comments from the know-it-alls *****ally know nothing.

Like all of you I read this in the morning and just now went online and read the comments.  Society needs to understand that losing weight is not easy and even after trying with diet and exercise for years it is not always the answer.  People are so judgemental and treat overweight people with no dignity.  Surgery is not an easy desicion and changes your life forever.  Society needs to be educated more.

I decided to come clean with my friends on Facebook about the fact that I am getting this surgery. I got a very interesting comment from someone who was supposed to be a "friend" of mine.  It made me realize that people are SO uneducated on the causes of alot of obesity. 

It breaks my heart and frustrates me that even some of the people that supposildy love me, still feel that I am just lazy.  The crazy thing was, she weighs about 50 lbs more then me!!!

But ya, I found that article interesting, and very thankful that WE don't have that weight list!!!

I think it is interesting that people dont acknowledge that food is an addiction for some people.  If this was about a 10 year  wait list for rehab for a herion addict, the view would be differnt but really it is not.  We choose to eat, people choose to do heroin or so that is their view of a food addiction.

People do not understand that we cant just "stop" our addicting as we still need to eat to live.  With drugs, you do have the choice to remove yourself from people who do them, and not to keep any in your house.  I also like how people "think it is easy".  As if!  If weightloss was really just a simple choice, then why are there so many fat people in the world.

These people are really ******g me off!
