Appt's all done.

I feel almost guilty posting that all of my appointments before surgery are done. But trust me - once the ball gets rolling, it rolls SO fast!! it will happen for you - i promise!!!!!!!!!

So I did my barium swallow the other day - oh my word - see my Youtube page for my thoughts on that. haha...

And then today i had my pre-op appt. at the Vic.
It went really well, and they didn't have any worries.
Though they told me my lip ring would need to be out for about 4 hours which means I'll probably have to get it repierced. ugh!!

I have my Medi-trim and am ready to start it on Monday.
It's going to be tough as we leave on Saturday for a 10 day trip to Ontario.
And my Mother-in Law is an AMAZING cook.  oh boy.

But i am just so excited to finally be at this place that i don't want to mess it up now.

So August 8th can't come soon enough!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I can't say ENOUGH about the support everyone here gives.  It has been, and will continue to be a lifesaver as we all go through this new journey. thank you SOOOO much!!!!

p.s. does anyone know if the Vic has wireless in the rooms & if i'm allowed to bring my laptop?

So good to hear you're on the way!! Oh my goodness...I am happy for you and can't wait to hear how your pre-op diet goes. I'm ordering my shakes on Tuesday, just so I have everything ready.
I'm also curious about the wifi at the Vic...would be really nice to have my laptop there.
I hope you have a wonderful trip out east. I'm sure your vacation will help the 2 week shakes diet go by a lot quicker.
Do you think I'll have to remove my nose ring? All jewellry?

ok - i just asked about WIFI - there is none. :( :(
guess i'll have to download a bunch of shows before hand to keep me occupied and maybe steal my hubby's blackberry to let you all know how i'm doing!!

Good for you! All ready to go! You must be so excited.
I wonder if holidays will be better when you are fasting....at least you can lie down if you are tired.
Keep posting and letting us know how things are going. Are you nervous at all for surgery or are you just excited?

I hope you enjoy your trip to Ontario....just keep your eye on the prize when all the food in on the table....surgery.....and then on that bench!

Don't feel guilty for posting about your surgery.  We all know what you are experiencing.  I'm still waiting myself and am just as excited even though I assume I'm still months away. 

Have a great holiday despite the diet.  Like the others said, just keep your eyes on the prize.  Remember:  Nothing tastes as good as thin feels.

i would nt worry about bring much to do there.you will end up sleeping or walking most of the time you are there

How exciting! This is the real count down. The pre-op diet is one big pain, but it is worth it in the end. You can do it!

Yes, you have to remove ALL jewelery before surgery. I had forgotten to take my wedding rings off at home and had to hide them in my jeans pocket during surgery because I had no where else to put them. I also forgot to bring a case for my glasses - didn't even think about those.

I wouldn't worry too much about WiFi. You may be too groggy to focus on much of anything. I did order a tv for my room; the white noise helped me fall asleep. I brought a couple of books which I didn't even pick up and several magazines but barely had the energy to flip through one of them. I would recommend an MP3 player though, especially if it has a radio.
