One step closer

I'm almost there!! I had my preop on Monday and my psych assessment was today. Dr. Grosko was fantastic! Very informative, friendly and really knew what she was talking about...especially when she was preparing me for some of the mental/emotional changes after surgery.
So she approved me and will send in my paperwork in the next day or so! And my preop paperwork was faxed in on Tuesday...all I need now is my NUT appointment...which is still over a month away. Do you think it's worth a call to Andrea to see if she's received everything and if I could get a surgery date? I don't want to be a 'nag' but I'd really feel better when I have that date on my calendar (and then I could make arrangements for child care, work, etc).
Yay!! It's hard to believe that at this time next year, there will be a LOT less of me!!

You can try calling, but when I was assessed, they wouldn't give me a surgery date until I had been "approved" by the nutritionist. Maybe now that she is so backed up they may book your surgery date before you see her.

I would give her a call, no harm in asking. I had similar issues with child care and work. I was given a tentative date that would be confirmed after my Appointment with Laura. That was when Julie was doing the bookings. I had everything else done also. After seeing Laura my date was moved up a couple of weeks.
