Patiently Waiting....

Hi guys,  I've joined the forum in hopes to gain some more insight into my future bariatric surgery.  I've only been on the waiting list since January 2011.   Does anyone know how long the waiting list currently is?  I know I have a ways to go yet but wondered if anyone could ease my curiosity?? 

Welcome to the forum! I was a November referral and went to my initial consult a 2 weeks ago. They are thinking a Sept. surgery date. So it's about 8 months to initial consult and 10 months to surgery...also depends on any other tests you need to get done (barium swallow, sleep test, etc).
The nutricianist is quite backed up...hence the long wait between the consult and surgery. But the surgeon informed me that they are trying to train more nuts in this specialty so all of the bariatric patients don't fall on one nut's shoulders.
Good luck! If they keep going at this rate, you should get a consult date by Sept or Oct.
