Spoke to Julie at Dr. Hardy's office on Friday and she confirmed that my surgery date will definitely be July 18, which means tomorrow is my first day on Meditrim. I wasn't sure if that day would work as they had told me it depended on the results of the sleep disorder tests. Hope I can get through the next two weeks! I am getting a little nervous about the surgery now that I know it is so close. But I am excited to start my journey.

Any tips on what helped you get through the two weeks of the meditrim? It would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Congratulations! I hope everything goes well. Maybe less time to stress about the big day is better..

Congrats on your surgery date!!
Not sure what you purchased for the Meditrim but I found it helpful to blend the shakes with ice, they are much better when they are cold.  I also purchased (can't remember if it was Winners or Home Sense but I'm sure all the coffee shops carry them too) SF syrup in a raspberry flavour and mixed it with the vanilla-it was a great change.
Good luck!

That sounds like a delicious idea - I will check it out - and yes - I tried ice instead of cold water for my second shake and actually enjoyed it quite a bit.  I managed to get through the day without feeling hungry, so one down, thirteen to go!

The liquid diet is a pain in the butt. BUT(no pun..lol) it is doable. I found the things that worked for me was to plan activities for my day since I am a stay-at-home mom. I drank a lot of water in between shakes. So much that I was up during the night peeing from day 3 on..LOL I also had to avoid eating with my family. That worked well for us. Now we eat together again. :) I also chose veggies I really liked for my 2 cups. Lots of  mushrooms and broccoli sauteed in Pam and garlic. YUM! I think I had broth too..

ANYWAYS, you'll do fine! Super exciting that your day is almost here. I remember that feeling very well. Now I'm just in awe of the whole process. Also extremely thankful!!

Good Luck and we've got your spot on the loser's bench!

Thanks - I picked up all of my favourite veggies today (lots of mushrooms!) so I think I will be fine on that end.  I also found out from Andrea that I am not supposed to start my supplements until after the surgery, so that answered that question.  I just have to take each day one at a time.
