Tentative Date

So...I think I have a tentative date!! :)

August 12th!!

All of my pre-op stuff is done EXCEPT for that silly barium swallow!!
I've been waiting 7 weeks and even Dr. Andrew's assistant has been bugging the hospital to call me!  Here's hoping I can get in there ASAP. Because if I have to cancel my surgery for that swallow, I will NOT be impressed!

Quite nervous for the pre-op diet as I'm headed to a weekend long family reunion right at the beginning of it (oh fun).  Hoping I can think about the FUTURE and get over that instant food gratification feeling.

Trying to make smart choices already so it's a little "easier" when the big changes come.  Looking online for a ton of shake/blended receipes so that I can start making some good ones. :)

Congrats on your tentative date.
I went through that with my barium swallow. I had a tentative date in June and my swallow was booked for 3rd week in July, lol. I called the X-ray clinic myself and told her this and also that the swallow had to be done 2 or 3 weeks before my surgery because I didn't want to start the pre op diet and have to stop it incase there were problems with the result, they fit me in within the week.
Then my surgery was moved up 2 weeks cause everything was done.

Wow wow wow! That's awesome! I will hope and pray that you get your surgery date in August!!! My preop is on Monday and my psych assessment is on Thursday. Then the only thing I have left is the Nutrician appointment...which isn't until mid-August. I don't need the swallow, as I'm having the RNY.

Can you tell me a bit about the psych assessment? What kind of things do they ask? I'm a little curious and would like to be prepared...maybe I'm a bit nervous!
