How many calories were you getting in 3 months out? My weight loss is slow and steady which is ok. But I'm wanting to make sure I'm getting in the right amount af calories. I'm not eating to many solids. Lots of soups and mushy foods yet. I don't like the way solids feel in my gut, I just get so uncomfortable. I chew, chew, chew, and still feel awful. My portion size is about a 1/2 cup, so I don't think I'm over eating.

I had the VSG March 22ND. I just have trouble with the feeling I get after eating solids. I'm sure this too will pass as some of the other issues have. I drink mostly shakes and eat soft mushy foods. I have great restriction when I do attempt solid foods, but feel quite nauseous after eating. I'm careful with portion size. My weight loss is very slow and can't help wonder if it's because I'm not getting enough calories. I've lost 30 lbs in 3 months. I'm content with that too. I can't believe the inches I've lost though! Truly amazing really. I'm now wearing a size 12 bottoms and a large top. I'm going to see the Dr. in the first 2 wks of July. Laura not until August. ~Cheryl

You are definitely not overeating. At about 3 months out, I am sure that I was  back to eating just about anything. I still had to have very small portions and chew very well of course, but there was very little I couldn't tolerate. For now all you can do is what feels right for you. If this continues much longer, I'd book an appointment at the clinic. You can't survive on protein drinks and mushy foods forever.

Hope things improve soon!

Under eating is more like it for sure. I'm going to be focusing on getting more in through out my day. No! your right I can't get by on those foods forever. I just try something and if it leaves me feeling funny I go back to my shakes. I need to be more diligent and work at my calorie intake a lot better. I think my weight loss will be better with more going in....Thanks ~Cheryl

If I can remember I think I was eating around 900 calories a day!!  Not that much for someone that weighed 311 lbs at my highest.  The Nut told me that I should be eatting around 1400 per day, like holy crap I thought that is too much.

You might want to call the clinic or post a question on the main forum VSG.

Wow! How are we supposed to get in 1200 cals a day? I know I'm going to try and get more in that's my goal. Right now I'm only getting in around 600 from my shakes. It's not enough I know that for a fact. I would likely be losing more if I could eat better. I know it will all work out in the end. I'm seeing the Dr. soon. Thanks Michelle....~cheryl

I was for sure eating 800-1000 calories a day by then. I did stick to foods that sat well though, I kept trying old foods again though. Now I eat everything I want to. That weird feeling does go away eventually. I vaguely remember it. :)

Not sure what my sleeve capacity is, but I do try to under fill it. Doesn't always work when I let myself get too hungry. Try crockpot cooked meats..nice soft and tender. Good luck!

I can take in tons of fluids with ease. Guess that's why I use my shakes. No bad feelings in the gut. It's restriction for sure, I've never felt full in my life before now. Your right! It too will pass in time. Thanks...~Cheryl

I am 3 months out as well.  I had the RNY done.  I find at the very most I can eat 1/2 a cup of food in a sitting and that makes me over full.  I dont eat soup much just the foods I can tolerate.  I have found I can not eat fatty foods and I am to scared to try anything suger, however the timbits at work are very tempting.

I am getting in around 600 calories a day, sometimes more sometimes less depends on what I eat.  I am not getting in my protien, thank goodness I have not suffered from hair loss as of yet.  I have been stalled now for over a week and I find it very unnerving.  I have lost 63 pounds to date and I am down 6 to 8 clothing sizes so I find comfort in that.

I did find a guide once about how many calories you should be taking in and it said 3 to 6 months was 600 to 800 calories a day and by 12 months you should be up to 1200.
