Well I went in today and spoke with Andrea. The soonest available surgery date she has is the middle of July. I asked if she could book me in there and she said no because I have to have the one hour consult with Laura first. I cannot see Laura until August 3rd.... I really need someone to cancel their appointment with her. Andrea said she could not book it until everything was back to her. I gave her my questionnaires and my doctor will fill out the other one at my next appt next week. I am waiting for a call for the Barium Swallow but she doesn't know when they will call me for that. I also have to see the psychologist. I will call her Friday for an appointment as she is on holidays until tomorrow. Andrea also told me Dr. Vergis wants to talk to me which means he has seen my esophageal motility test and I may not be a good candidate for VSG.  Because of the currant state of my esophagus,etc Dr. Vergis thinks a vsg may cause me too much pain in the long run because I will have more acid reflux than I do now. My family doctor has told me that if I lose weight it will release the pressure of my stomach pushing up. If my only option is RNY then I will still need to do it. I need to start getting this weight off so I can get on my road to a healthier life. Oh the confusion of things........ 


But on a happier note I heard back from Minogue Medical and I can phone them and place my order and then send them a certified check/money order... I got the diet part in order now if only the rest would fall into place without putting me in too mch of an inconvenient position..... Stll praying for a miracle to happen here..... 

I just got a call from Dr. Vergis. He had some good news and bad news. After looking at my esophageal motility results it seems I am no longer a candidate for VSG. Dr. Vergis discussed it with the other doctors and none of them would sleeve me. Because my sphincter is so tight I would be in danger of developing a leak. He did say I am a candidate for RNY and we talked a bit about my concerns. It is a go BUT I still have to wait to see Laura. He said they are trying to get extra time or even bring someone else in. I mentioned to him about really wanting this done because of the inconvenience it causes when September comes. If I'm in the hospital then I have more than just the dog to worry about, I will have to wonder how my kids will get to school. I told him I will order the MediTrim online but he said their can be complications with that diet too so I still need to see Laura. Can't blame a girl for trying! A july surgery date would be the most convenient for me, it would give me plenty of healing time before returning to work. I also have to see Teresa but Dr. Vergis said he is pretty good with getting us in quickly. It is slowly coming together.... 

Now I need to remember how to change my profile from VSG to RNY....
