Hi everyone,  I am not losing any weight right now,  I am at a stalemate.  Can anyone help.  I am trying to get enough protein in, but I am not getting a lot of water in.  Could it be the water?  I am even on the treadmill daily.  I am getting annoyed.  My weight has been he same for 3 weeks.  Help!

Hello,
I had open RNY with Dr Nohr as well, but its been a number of yrs.  If you look at my profile, I list the lbs lost each month and for the first few months I lost about 12 lbs a month, that doesn't seem like a lot but over the 1-1/12 yrs it added up.  The protein and water were both hard to get in... I focused on eggs, chili (made with ground turkey) and cheese....I wanted the weight to come off faster and for Inoticed for some it did, not for me.  It is hard not to compare yourself with others but I tried not to,,,, keep up the protein and water and the weight will come off.  All the best... good for you to keep at it and also for doing the treadmill.

The water is what our bodies need to flush out the fat. You really need water( guess my dad was right all along ) For me carbs are a culprit too, I keep them under 50ish grams a day. Like Dianne said, keep doing what your doing and the weight will come off, but I would up my water. I got 25oz water bottles from Costco(3x19$) I fill them every night before bed and drink them ALL before bed the next night. That way I get minimun 75oz of water, plus whatever else I drink in the day, tea, protein shake, etc.

I hope that helps a bit! Don't get discouraged!

I basically stalled out at 3 weeks and only lost 1 lbs per week for 4 weeks. I tried not to get discuraged and soon enough it started coming off again. I also do not get enough water in a day. A good day for me is 1500ml of fluids and that includes my protein drinks.
Good luck!

I agree with everybody else. Water and protein are the key. I find that when I don't eat enough protein, I start craving carbs. Too many carbs, and the weight loss stalls.

However, sometimes your body just goes through an adjustment period. I had a time immediately after surgery when nothing moved. Since then, I can go easily 10 days without any weight loss. Everytime I feel like giving up, the scale moves again in the right direction. Unfortunately it is never at the speed we wish. Hang in there. If you are eating well and exercising the scale will have to move!
