Well happy belated may long weekend to all, went to my cottage for the weekend sucked cause of the rain well i guess it sucked kinda for everyone in that respect. My kids were in a craft market for saturday at our cottage in wpg beach and they sold a fair amount jewerly, neck pillows, hot bags etc they made $160.00. Well my husband wanted to have a nice dinner so steak it was steak, baked potato, fried mushrooms, well nothing liked me at all tried a little of and slowly well i felt awful i was foaming at the mouth and finally bile came up had to keep on spitting. I guess that means i was dumping. I cannot seem to keep any meat protein down at all and that is what i need so what do i do Went to a party on monday had pasta salad, brocolli salad, coleslaw, cheese of course little bites of each and no problem. Why is the things i need which is the protein makes me feel awful and the stuff i dont need stays down and i feel alright . Hope all is alright with everyone. actully one more question my main incision is still leaking as i did have infection starting week 3 and the incision still hasent closed up 2 days go bye and think its closed then the next day boom im leaking again what am i doing wrong im trying not do much but i am going to work may 31 so little worried about that i do a physical job. thanks for listening to my concerns
Call the clinic and ask them about your incision. If they can't get you in, go to a walk-in clinic. If you have any lifting to do at work, then you need to get an all-clear before you go back.
Beef and pork are really hard to digest at first. I found fish the easiest animal protein to digest for months. Next came chicken, shredded chicken salad is nice - Costco sells cans of shredded chicken breast and it is really nice. The first beef I started with was in a tomato sauce, I eventually moved onto chili and finally burger. I can now eat steak provided it isn't overcooked and provided that I take very small bites and chew it very well. Pork takes a little longer to manage. Again, I started with ground pork and worked my way up. I don't know if I could manage pork chops, but I really don't enjoy them so it isn't a big loss for me.
What you experienced wasn't exactly a dump - you had what we call the "foamies". Dumping happens when you digest too much sugar at once and your body responds by releasing or "dumping" a dose of insulin into your system. The symptoms of that are sweating, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and acute anxiety. What you describe happens when we ingest too much food or food that we are not yet able to digest. Unfortunately, it happens to us all until we can determine what our systems can take and what they can't.
Take it easy & good luck with getting back to work.
