catheter

 hi,i have been reading that they use a catheter for the surgery.,is this true.i have had bad experience with one.

I asked that question today at my pre op and the nurse said most likely not. It wasn't a definite no or yes so it probable depends on how things go
I was concerned about waking up with a breathing tube, and that depends how I do.

I was told this also but didnt have either thank good hopefully you dont i guess they just prepar us for it just in case i know they want you to get up right away and start walking even though we dont want to. good luck

I haven't heard of any of us waking up with a catheter. One person needed one put in later because she was having trouble urinating after the anesthetic.

I did not have one.
