AAARRRRGGG such a close call!

Okay, we all know I work in a Medical Records Department as a Health Information Manager.  That being said, I really wanted to MAKE SURE my referral was sent properly.  GOOD THING cuz when I called the Bariatric Center,  I got Julie's message on her answering machine about "don't bug me about your referral, etc" so I called my doctor's office and requested a copy of my referral so that I know it went in.  OMG!  it went in with the wrong DOB, wrong Box #, wrong phone # and it said I was a smoker (am not!).

I am going to draft an addendum and fax it to Julie clarifying the mistakes!  Just think, they would have been trying to get a hold of me and everything would have been returned/delayed ........ bad enough I have to wait 85 years!  Stupid Dr's office ...... why I outta........

I lost 18 months due to my Dr. not receiving the refferal letter.  I only found out because I called to follow up with them. Good catch.

Holy man! you must have burnt your buns!  I know once Julie has everything, I will be in good hands, she seems very efficient, from what everyone says .  Did I read on here that a confirmation letter regarding the referral should be forthcoming? or did I make that up in my head?  Man, that Julie must have a BUSY job!  God bless her!

How crazy frustrating!  Good for you for following up yourself. We have to be our own advocates! No one else could possibly know how important and life changing this is for us.

OY VEY! Good Catch NGD!!! Now that 85 yrs should be cut down to maybe 55yrs?..LOL It's gonna happen!!

Julie is very efficient, but the girl needs an assistant! She does the work of 2-3 people..for realz! I want to get her a gift or something..LOL

I totally agree!  I used to coordinate a clinic for a pediatric specialist and there is sooooo many details for each patient so Julie has my sympathy!  I wonder if I volunteered to go and help if they would bump up my surgery? lol.  The whole thing about living 7 hours out of wpg might get in the way though, and I can't quit my job - I only have 5 years until I can retire with my magic 80 (at 50!)

I am going to include the need for additional clerical staff in my strongly worded letter to the minister of health.  I wonder if there are any obese MPs in the "House" that would be sympathetic to our cause of increased funding?  Our MP is a skinny little thing about 25 years old.  Nice kid and certainly knows how to schmoooze (her dad is Steve Ashton)  I could cc it to her I suppose.....

My letter is going to be about 27 pages.....lol
