Pre-op appt at victoria hosp

hello everyone,
can anyone tell me what all is involved with the pre-op appt with the anesthetist and what blood work they do there.I just got the call that i have to go see them next week and am curious what all is needed.i don't do blood work well so i want to prepare myself ahead of time.

i was referred in august last year.my surgery is booked for the 26 of this month

Hi there.  You meet with the anesthetist and he goes over your medical history, medications, previous surgical history.  You speak with the pre-op nurse, who goes over the routine, what to expect post op.  If you have OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) she goes over what happens there.  As far as the blood work they do cross match/blood typing. (If you need blood postop).  Nothing too major, routine stuff.  Don't worry you will be just fine!
